Myth: A vegetarian Diet is Not Healthy

People have a hard time accepting the concepts that they do not understand. take a moment and think with me about your diet
. Mostly, your diet is like most people. Eating vegetarian will bring you numerous advantages over your typical SAD diet.

Myth: Going vegetarian Means I am Vegetarian or Vegan

The notion that you will be a vegetarian or vegan on a vegetarian diet is an absolute myth. In general, the goal is to get less meat and smaller parts. If you have fish from time to time, or a piece of meat, it is not the end of the world. Put forth the effort to evolve your diet around vegetables, fruits, and unprocessed foods and you will be doing incredible things for your health. If you are just starting out, don’t forget to always start a little and slowly slice it.

There is a terrible misconception that eating healthy means that it is going to be expensive. The good news is that there are always ways to eat healthy while following the budget at the same time. In the next chapter, we will deal with this in more detail. For the time being, I must note that many of the meals you will eat include whole grains, legumes, and beans. All of these ingredients are generally much cheaper than fish and meat!

Myth: I Need Meat for Protein on a Vegetarian Diet

This is one of the top questions you will get while following a vegetarian diet. All of your friends will then become a nutritionist and worry that you are not getting enough protein and how you have stopped eating meat. The truth is, instead of eating animals for their protein, you are going directly to the source!

Myth: I Need Milk for Strong Bones

There is often a belief that milk is needed to grow strong bones. The truth is that we always need calcium and vitamin D in order for our bones to become strong enough. And all research confirmed that most of the calcium was found in our bodies in our bones. When we lose a lot of calcium in our diet, it will often lead to osteoporosis later in life.
Luckily, there are plenty of ways to boost your calcium intake on a vegetarian diet. Be sure you are consuming the proper foods such as fortified plant milk, beans, dried figs, or sweet potato to keep your daily calcium intake up.

Myth: Going vegetarian is Too Hard

This is where I will disagree the most with the doubters. When you think about it, making any changes is extremely difficult. There are many individuals who start diets and fail, and that is because they don’t believe enough in themselves.
This is why your WHY is so important. Why are you choosing to follow a vegetarian diet? Is it for health purposes?

Dangers of a meat diet

Apparently, you may not be able to find any dangers of the meat-based diet, but here we are explaining how it is damaging your body and health.

Increased rate of heart problems

Statistic lets us know that in recent years, the number of patients with heart problems increased largely. Several people die every year because of heart issues and numerous are suffering from heart-related problems that include blood pressure, hypertension, cholesterol, and more.
All these problems are initiated by the heavy meat diet that contains fats and a heavy amount of nutrition. This nutrition is essential for the body, but the excess of this friendly nutrition can cause some drastic issues.
That is why studies from the University of Oxford theorize that the use of a vegetarian diet can reduce the risk of heart problems. Such diet options can help to reduce fats from the blood and keep cholesterol levels in control along with hypertension to help the bodywork efficiently.

Obesity

Being fat is one of the most prominent and acute problems of current times. Several young kids along with adults and elders are obese and it is all based on their diet. When we consume a higher content of meat and related products, we get more energy. Unfortunately, we do not consume that energy with the same amount in physical activities. Eventually, our body stores energy in the form of fats and makes us obese.
Another reason for obesity is the hormonal changes and overall poor organ functioning in the body. Due to the excessive use of meat and products, our organs do not function properly and cause damages to the overall body shape.

Diabetes

Diabetes is one of the quickly spreading diseases that are hitting people of almost every age. Consuming a high meat diet is one of the major causes of diabetes. It can trigger the risk of type 2 diabetes that can lead to further health problems and issues. Type 2 diabetes disable the regular insulin function in the body and increases the blood sugar levels in the body.
It can link to other problems such as kidney failure, blindness, heart attacks, strokes, and more.

Risk of cancer

Red meat is popular among the researchers when it comes to assessing the chances of cancer from food. It is recorded that red meat has the risk of aiding the development of cancer by 22% in the human body. Any form of red meat from bacon to steak can be harmful to health with its regular consumption and not proper care.

Acne

Our diet does have a direct effect on our skin and face as well. Whatever we are consuming, leave an impact on our face especially. Since our skin is sensitive, no matter what we consume will get instant results. The animal-based diet increases the risk of acne on one’s face and body.
It is due to the enzymes added to the diet that triggers the acne issue in the skin with the increased levels of body fats. Meat can cause some hormonal changes in the body that trigger the freckles and acne with spots on the face.

Erectile dysfunction

The trigger in high blood pressure and cholesterol due to the consumption of meat not only affects the heart rate and functions but also affects the other organs.
It puts an effect on the liver and decreases the blood flow in the vessels throughout the body. The condition makes it difficult for the blood to reach the penis and the clitoris as well. Reduced blood flow in such areas reduces the erection and arousal in the body.
Eventually, it causes issues with intimacy and couples to have to face issues with their sex life. The condition is not only damaging for the physical health but affect relationship along with the psychological health of the person.

Short lifespan

We eat to live, as without food we are unable to survive in this world. What happens if the food we eat is responsible for our death? It is shocking news for you but a valid reality.
The people consuming meat diet in abundance do have a shorter lifespan and die early. It is due to lower immunity levels, more cholesterol or heart problems accompanied by many other issues such as kidney disorder, uric acid, joint pain, and more.
All these are the outcomes of the excessive meat diet that is damaging to the body.
